Update DODGE Caravan & Dodge Caravan Neutral Safety Switch – Dodge Journey Won’t Start – How To Fix Local Muskogee 74401 OK.
The internet is full of stories of Dodge Journey owners who are frustrated because their car sometimes refuses to start. The car just makes a clicking sound like there’s not enough power to turn the starter even though the battery is good. The car usually starts after several minutes of trying. No one seems to know how to fix it. I fixed my car by connecting a 2-foot long, 4 gauge battery cable directly from the engine block to the chassis ground stud that is located just above the driver’s side front tire. Another black battery cable leads from this chassis ground stud directly back to the negative terminal of the battery. The starter is grounded to the engine block; there is no separate ground return cable from the starter. The added 2-foot long battery cable to the engine block improves the ground return path for the 200 amp starter current. I purchased the 2-foot long battery cable from Walmart for just six dollars. It’s an EverStart model SS24-4-77.
